The Board of the East Bay Vintners Alliance is pleased to announce the appointment of Sally Gordon as Executive Director.
Ms. Gordon brings with her almost 35 years experience in the wine business, including within the East Bay’s Urban Wine Country, at her most recent position held at Dashe Cellars in Oakland. She is a great advocate for local urban winemakers because, as she has said, she believes the East Bay is “…a vibrant, exciting community of very dedicated people who are making great wine.”
Her role in part will be to manage outward facing functions as well as logistical and planning functions for the EBVA, including for the large annual Urban Wine Xperience event held August 1 in Oakland.
“As we have grown and gained public recognition, having a seasoned professional to be the face of the EBVA and provide continuity is a key step in growing the organization. With Sally’s help we can now begin to realize the organization’s potential,” said Steve Shaffer, President, East Bay Vintners Alliance.
We would like to announce the new EBVA board members for 2015:
President: Steve Shaffer (Urban Legend)
Vice President – Adam Nelson (Two Mile Wines)
Treasurer – Alexandra Cohn (Jeff Cohn Cellars)
Secretary – Dominic Reo (Paradox Wines)
